The Gibbs Family

The Gibbs family have been in at Dougarie since 1976 when Stephen and his wife Lavinia moved to Arran. Stephen carefully managed the Estate for over four decades before his son Jamie took over in 2017. Lavinia remains in residence throughout the year.

Today

Jamie and his wife Jules oversee the stewardship and day-to-day management of the Estate. Jamie grew up on the island but is currently based in London due to his and Jules professional working commitments. They have two young sons, Harry and Charlie who both love to escape to the freedom and space of Dougarie.

Jamie is a passionate countryman and conservationist who is believes in safeguarding this unique corner of Arran for future generations. He chairs the Arran Deer Management Group and is involved in other island wide projects when time permits. Jules was appointed a Trustee of the Game and Wildlife Conversation Trust.
